An upgrade of existing garage doors in Ashtead. The original timber doors were sound but sagging, sticking on the paving and looking tired against a recently redecorated house.
Rather than replace them, the doors were taken off, the frames squared and regraded, and failed sections of timber cut out and spliced with new material. New ironmongery was fitted and the glazed panels overhauled.
Repainted in a deep blue-grey, they now open cleanly and read as a deliberate feature of the frontage. Repairing rather than replacing saved the client a significant amount and kept the original character of the property.
